From Primary School Teacher to Franchisee: Gemma’s Incredible Rascals Billericay Launch

WOW – what an opening night we had at Rascals Billericay!

Our newest franchisee, Gemma, absolutely smashed her launch, delivering the perfect Rascals class structure for each age group – full of energy, passion, positivity and smiles! The atmosphere was electric, the children were beaming, parents were thrilled, and we couldn’t be prouder of what she’s achieved.

But Gemma’s journey to this moment is just as exciting as the launch itself…

From Classroom Teacher to Rascals Franchisee:

Back in February 2024, Gemma got in touch with us to explore the idea of becoming a Rascals franchisee. At the time, she was working full-time as a Primary School teacher – a job she loved – but she was ready for something more.

She wanted something that was truly hers.

Something that would allow her to:

✨ Reignite her performing arts training and background

✨ Fit around her lifestyle without taking over weekends

✨ Bring fun, creativity and passion back into her work

And most importantly, she wanted the freedom to carve out her own path, while still having support behind her.

Training + Support = Confidence

Fast forward to September, and Gemma reduced her school hours to part-time so she could open her very own Rascals franchise.

Through the summer term, she worked full-time in school while gradually making her way through our step-by-step online training platform at her own pace. With regular meetings, Zoom calls, and daily support via WhatsApp, she had everything she needed to stay on track.

Then, as soon as the school summer holidays began, we hit the ground running – ramping up her training, launching her marketing strategy, and preparing for the big opening night.

And WOW – all that hard work paid off! On launch night, Gemma’s classes were buzzing with excitement. She delivered everything exactly as we knew she would:

💛 A perfect balance of dance, drama and singing

💛 Smiling faces all around – children and parents alike

It was the ultimate example of how our tried-and-tested systems combined with Gemma’s passion and dedication can create something truly special.
